Mr. Shwed is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Crew Energy Inc. a Calgary, Alberta based exploration and production company. Mr. Shwed graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 1980, whereupon he joined Amoco Canada Petroleum Corporation Ltd. as an exploration geologist. He held positions of increasing responsibility with various exploration and production companies before founding his own consulting, production and development company Elad Resources Corporation in 1986. In 1993, Mr. Shwed founded Baytex Energy Ltd. a public exploration and Development Company. He was the President and Chief Executive Officer overseeing the operations of the Company growing production to over 40,000 boepd. In 2003 Baytex Energy Ltd. was reorganized into Baytex Energy Corp. and a junior exploration and production company Crew Energy Ltd. Mr. Shwed is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Crew Energy Inc. and is on the Board of Directors of Baytex Energy Corp, TORC Oil & Gas Ltd and Inplay Oil Corp.

John G. Leach, CASenior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Leach was a founding member of Baytex Energy Ltd. beginning in 1993, serving in the Company’s finance department in increasing roles of responsibility culminating as its Vice President, Finance from 1998 to the time of its reorganization in September 2003. At that time, Mr. Leach became Vice President, Finance and CFO of Crew Energy Ltd. Mr. Leach has over 25 years of experience in the Canadian oil and gas and accounting industries, having worked for KPMG, LLP prior to joining Baytex. Mr. Leach has been Chartered Accountant since 1991 and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Ken TruscottSenior Vice-President, Business Development and Land
Mr. Truscott graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 1981. After joining Texaco Canada Resources Ltd. he worked in numerous functions before taking on a negotiations role. At Texaco, he worked in Canada, Latin America and West Africa. After returning to Canada, Mr. Truscott joined Imperial Oil where he was the Lead Negotiator for Imperial’s major divestment program from 1990 to 1993. Subsequent to that assignment he joined Remington Energy Ltd as Vice President, Land which was sold to Dominion Canada in 1999. In 1999, he joined Chain Energy Limited in the capacity of Vice President Land & COO which was sold to Cequel Energy in 2002. In 2002, Mr. Truscott founded Morpheus Energy Limited, as private oil and gas exploration company, as President and CEO. Morpheus was sold to Orleans Energy in April 2006. He joined Crew Energy Ltd. in a consulting capacity in December 2006 and after experiencing the Crew culture accepted an executive position in September 2007.
Jamie L. BowmanVice President, Marketing & Originations
James (Jamie) Bowman has more than 25 years of operational, financial, marketing and administrative experience in the oil and gas industry. Jamie’s diverse background covers all aspects of marketing and trading oil and gas products as well as production accounting, joint venture operations, corporate finance, regulatory affairs, and risk management. Prior to joining Crew in 2013, Jamie spent 12 years with EOG Resources Canada as the Vice President Marketing and Business Development, with specific involvement and oversight of the Kitimat LNG Project. Prior thereto, he held a series of positions of increasing responsibilities with Canadian Hunter Exploration, Morrison Petroleums, and Devon Energy Canada. In these positions, Jamie has been involved in all aspects of the Canadian oil and gas business, from technical to financial, and has a proven track record on many Canadian infrastructure project developments. Jamie graduated from the University of Calgary in 1988 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree majoring in Finance.
Kurtis FischerVice President, Planning & Development
Kurtis Fischer is a seasoned Business Development executive with more than 25 years in the industry. After graduating in 1988 from the Petroleum Technology program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), Mr. Fischer started his career at North Canadian Oils in production operations. Subsequently, he took on a variety of different operations and engineering roles of increasing responsibility at companies including Norcen Energy, Northstar Energy, Archean Energy, and Viking Energy Royalty Trust. In 2004, Mr. Fischer joined Crew Energy, with primary responsibility for management of the exploitation, production, and reservoir engineering areas. In 2008, he was promoted to Crew’s Manager of Acquisitions and Divestitures and subsequently promoted to Vice President, Business Development in 2010.
Paul DeverVice President, Government & Stakeholder Relations
Paul Dever joined Crew Energy in 2005 and has held several roles over the past 13 years. He was Director of Government & Stakeholder Relations immediately prior to his current executive position. Paul has 20 years of industry experience and has worked domestically in western Canada and internationally promoting and facilitating stakeholder engagement. Prior to joining Crew, Paul worked at Penn West Petroleum holding positions of increasing responsibility within the Surface Land and Consultation group. Paul continues to be an active member of several industry and provincially-led committees that work with governments and regulators on various initiatives related to stakeholder engagement. He is a graduate of Olds College (Honours) in the Land Acquisition and Management program, is a licensed Land Agent and an active member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen (CAPL) and CSUR.
Kevin G. Evers, P.Geol.Vice President, Geosciences
Kevin Evers is a Professional Geologist with over 17 years of industry experience in both conventional and unconventional oil and gas plays across the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Kevin joined Crew in 2007 and was the Senior Geologist responsible for establishing and growing the Company’s substantial NEBC Montney asset base. He has held various roles of increasing responsibility including Manager of Geosciences and Manager of Business Development. Prior to Crew, Kevin was a Senior Geologist at Capitol Energy Resources Ltd. from 2005 to 2007. In this role he was responsible for the delineation and horizontal development of the Dixonville Montney C Oil Pool in Alberta, contributing to Montney oil production growth from 800 to 3,600 bbls/d in two years and the initiation of a successful Montney waterflood introduced in October 2006. Capitol was sold to Provident Energy Trust in July of 2007. Prior thereto, Kevin was a Geologist at EnCana Corp. and PanCanadian Petroleum from 2001 to 2005. Kevin graduated from the University of Victoria in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Earth & Ocean Sciences and is a member of the CSPG, AAPG, SPE and CSUR.
Mark MillerVice President, Land and Negotiations
Mark Miller has 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specializing in Land, Land Management and Negotiations. Prior to joining Crew in 2007, Mark served as Land Manager with Mystique Energy Inc., a junior oil and gas company focused in the Cardium in West Central Alberta and previously was a Negotiating Landman with Penn West Petroleum from 2001 to 2005. Prior thereto, Mark held the position of Freehold Land and Mineral Tax Analyst with PanCanadian Petroleum Ltd. from 1998 to 2001. Mark graduated from the University of Alberta in 1998 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree majoring in Finance and completed the Petroleum Land Management (PLMA) program at the University of Calgary in 2001. Mark is an active member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen (CAPL) and Petroleum Acquisition & Divestment Association (PADA).
